Love the music.
안녕하세요
what an annoying voice
this can increase cross talk and is not recommended, especially for any distance. better to dress a few on exterior of bundle and save hours. at least they used velcro, tie-wraps can also cause reflections when too tight....it is also a massive pain for moves adds and changes....i now have to replace 304 tie wraps to add one line...no thanks.
Need to make one for cat6A Shielded and Foiled as well
You really don't have to cut the wires where scored. The excess wire will be cut off when you punch down the wires. Also, leave enough slack, so that the strip can be pulled out of the frame, after the wires have been punched down. I like to punch twice, to ensure a solid connection and a full cut of the wire & insulation.
Ok
Ok
Ok
Lo usé hoy es muy bueno
These things are awesome until your half way through an install, wake up and realize the 568B scheme depicted on the quick connect label is not the conventional 568B layout. Beware if you’re not terminating these on both ends of a drop!
Which wires go in what spot? These are terrible instructions
Прекрасно супер 👍👍👍

DO NOT USE. YOUR FINGERS ARE BETTER
Someone hasn't worked with very much ethernet 😂
😂😂@@h.d.h
which way does the connector goon the wire?
Interesting
You should specify in your title that this is for stranded cable, so people learn how to use the stripping string on solid cable instead of using potentially nicked cable ends and having to re-terminate their cables.
How many cables will fit in it? Approximately anyways I know more cat 5 will fit than cat6a
How many cables will fit in it? Approximately anyways I know more cat 5 will fit than cat6a
Hi,what power adaptor is required to power desk media hub? What voltage and current??Thanks
Is there any documentation from Nortel or Belden that contains a schematic for this connector? I'm not exactly sure how the contacts are normalled.
Don't even bother keeping those twists intact, amirite.
does the 25 pair cable with the colored ribbons in it have a particular name
Buenas ...con que nombre se lo conoce para colombia
The voiceover + script + music together are surreal and kinda creepy. 😂
🤖
good
Not done any more, fiber rules.
There's still a lot of copper going in. A few months ago, I was working in one of the offices of my ISP/cable/cell company and I was working with both CAT5 and fibre.
which pattern do you follow 568A OR 568B?
Thanks for a wonderful detailed video, certainly it is helpful for me. and i think my friend need it too. maybe elecbee connectors better.
I still have at least 20 good pair of scissor.
81’s when I was a faultsman jointer ! Some people will know what I mean😉🇬🇧
Is bad to not expose copper of wire endings? I found it works just crimping through the insulator plastic of single wires
No, actually if you look closely, he also does not do that.
Messy work, I have terminated a lot of cable in my years, I guess standards have changed over the years. The outer insulation should have been trimmed neatly with lineman scissors. We typically would separate the wires by colour code all the way back to the outer insulation giving it a neater lay down. We have come a long way since the days of lacing cables and wires down with waxed lacing cord.
Your talking many years ago. We're you on the frame?
@@fubarsnafu4994 every where, internal plants exterior installations, user consumer end point. And plant supervisor. I watch a local lineman install a new phone line in my apartment building, the wire closet was a rats nest of wires. Old wires never get pulled, the new concept, get, in, install, test, and get out and head to the new job. Not like the old days.
@@brianjohnston9822 dropped and terminated a ton of cable over the years. 100 pair was common but 1500 over head multicore. Usually 1500pr + 4 or 6 fiber and a few cat5 in the jacket for good measure.. If I would have used gel chicklets or 3m snap locks. Flat out would have been looking for a job. Overhead and direct burials are a process. Long and tedious but necessary. As I watched. I was thinking a step ahead of them and they pulled out the chicklets. I was like No no no nooooo! That entire phone switch has a loud annoyance of a Hummmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Thats never gonna be fixed. ✌
@@fubarsnafu4994 By chicklets do you mean 3M Scotchlok connectors? Why would you have been fired for splicing a cable? What would you use instead? Why would they induce hum?

Carried a Bix termination tool in my kit for more than 30 years, don't think it was ever used.
I still have mine after being retired for almost 20 years. Still use it occasionally. I even still have my 66 block termination tool. I also remember the wire wrap and soldering method. Like some said, do we still even support BIX since Nortel fell. I still see it being used in older installations, it is not cost effective to switch out existing cable plants.
BIX is a great system. I'm installing it in my home reno. Obscure though it may be, the modules and frames are still readily available where I live (north Toronto suburbs). I find 110 to be klunky. I'd use Krone but it's hard to get here.
I have both BIX and 110 punches in mine. While the 110 gets used regularly, thanks to Ethernet cables and Keystone connectors, it's been many years since I've punched a BIX strip and I've only worked with a 110 strip once. It's also been many, many years since I worked on solder or wire wrap blocks.
Why terminate? Your fixing it
I'd say the algorithm is drunk, but I actually found this interesting. Spooky.
I should have bought this before building my house with 400 meters of CAT5.
Oof
400 meters? Tf that's 4x the max length
@@IxIWHAKRIxI I have cut from it more than 30 sections. Having from 2 to 6 Rj45 mural sockets in all my rooms and also 3 cables goes into my garden. It delivery GB Internet (got fiber optic ISP) in my main house/ garden houses and also also the phone network in all rooms. I must admit it is a little bit oversized but I am computer fan since 1982 and made my house myself.
@@bretzeletouffeur7401 that is amazing sir! Congrats
At my current job site I’ve pulled 120,000 feet of cat 6a. To be fair it is a commercial building that’s a half billion dollar project.
There’s no price listed on the TSOC product page (www.tsoc.com/Yellow-Blue-Acom-2-Piece-Contractor-Comb-Cable-Pulling-Tool-Part-Number-CC-250), which is always suspicious. However, you can get virtually identical 3D-Printed ones on eBay for around *£14.00* GBP.
It's just a yellow and blue piece of plastic, but it's so insanely useful
Hands down this tool is the best option for bundling your Cat5 & Cat6 Cables!!
Con que nombre se la conoce la peinadora de cable UTP

From what I can tell from the video, the order of the cables he used was: Green/White Green Yellow/White Blue Blue/White Yellow Brown/White Brown Why is different to other videos I've seen?
because its different standard ( T-568A ), it works just like the one you see everywhere except that it is used less frequently.
Thanks! RG6 makes the best sub cables.
Can i use this tool for excel keystjack..?
thanks
Step 7: Perform continuity check with DMM. :-)
very informative thanks for the video
How to remove? 🤔
🪚
OK but how do you do the opposite. I need to take that thing off the cable
yeah me too
You can't, it's fixed on there. You need to grab a wire cutter (or the sharp portion of needlenose pliers) and cut it
Use a pair of scissors to cut the end off.
